John McEwan-Whyte is a film-maker, playwright and actor based in originally from North-East Scotland and currently based in Edinburgh. Starting his professional acting career whilst studying physics at Glasgow University, John is now in the final year of his masters in playwriting at Edinburgh Napier.
John is passionate about acting and writing, believing the only way to change the world for the better is through telling stories that seed empathy in the society you are part of.
His latest short film, "Desert Island Music" filmed entirely under lockdown has been accepted to a number of film festivals and reached the quarter finals of Leeds' "Jump Cuts Film Festival"
John most recent play, "Saving Mr Ultimate" will be part of the 2021 Edinburgh Fringe.
